Reneé took her first yoga class over 10 years ago and has been practicing yoga ever since. She began yoga as part of her fitness routine, but she quickly realized there were many more benefits gained through practicing yoga than just having a strong body. Yoga has helped Reneé reduce stress in her daily life, to live more mindfully, and to feel comfortable with who she is as a person.
Reneé experienced so many benefits through yoga that she wanted to share her passion with others. She completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training through Urban Yoga in Phoenix, AZ and received additional training at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Tempe, AZ to teach yoga for post traumatic stress (PTS).
Reneé feels very grateful to have the opportunity to change people’s lives through yoga. She currently teaches yoga at a drug and alcohol recovery center where she is able to assist in the recovery process by helping to balance the body, mind and spirit of her students. Additionally, Reneé teaches a variety of yoga classes to students of all levels at studios in the Tempe and Phoenix areas. She enjoys assisting her students as they progress in their yoga practice and, more importantly, to see them leave her classes feeling refreshed and balanced.
