Alejandra Rodriguez

ACUPUNCTURE

Alejandra understands that wellness is a function of the mind, body, and soul.  Her approach incorporates emotional release to aid in the healing process from the root cause.  As a result, patients are more likely to see a holistic recovery, long-lasting relief, and are less likely to relapse into old patterns.  Alejandra is a loving, empathetic, and compassionate healer and her patients' comfort and understanding are of her first concerns.

Alejandra is a graduate of the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine, which is an accredited Traditional Chinese Medicine Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  She received a Bachelor's in Health Science and a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine, and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  She is also licensed by the state of Arizona as a Traditional Chinese Medicine physician.  Alejandra was trained on the NADA protocol (National Acupuncture Detoxification), which is used worldwide for the treatment of substance abuse, depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  Alejandra also taught as a Clinic Supervisor at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Tucson, Arizona.  The Life Extension Foundation, a nutraceutical information-based company, also employed her as a Health Advisor where she discussed health concerns, shared research, and advised callers on general nutritional health and modalities of treatment.  Alejandra currently also offers her services at KaiZen Wellness in N. Scottsdale.

Angela Cox

YOGA TEACHER

Angie has more than a decade of experience teaching yoga to groups and individuals of varying skill levels. Her passion is working with people who need help finding relief from stress, in ways that they can then take "off the mat" and out into their daily lives. Her personal mantra is to "Be Mindful", in actions, teaching and paying attention to her own body, and to help others learn ways to do that as well.She enjoys working with people of all levels of skill, and finds it fun and challenging to work with someone who has no knowledge of yoga and see the subtle changes in their body and life-outlook as time goes on.

Angie received a 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2006 through Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ. She has been teaching yoga consistently at small studios, gyms and private sessions since receiving certification. Most recently, she has been volunteering to teach yoga at the Christown YMCA in Phoenix since 2012 and doing private sessions in people's homes for over two years. She is trained in iRest yoga nidra (guided meditation) and is excited to bring this knowledge into her teaching.

Angie came to yoga as a way of dealing with stress from my job as a social worker, which she did for 16 years. This led to a passion for not only the physical benefits but also the level of benefit for the mind and spirit. Angie loves being able to share benefits for people of all levels and ranges of ability.

Found yoga over fifteen years ago when she was taking a class to expand her knowledge of energy healing at the Bateman Institute in NYC. Some of the students in her class were raving about a yoga class offered at the school. Even though she had never experienced yoga before, she felt she had to try it.  After taking that first class and continuing on to take more yoga classes, she found that it had such a profound effect on her life that she wanted to share it with others. She completed a yoga teacher’s training class and after completing the course, began teaching in a small studio focusing on therapeutic yoga alongside featured holistic practitioners.

She taught yoga and continued her studies in energetic healing, earning certificates in Karuna Reiki, Pranic Healing and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy.  After moving to Arizona, she earned certifications in the Amrit Method Yoga Nidra and became a KRI certified  Kundalini Yoga Teacher. 

Clover is always excited to help people transform their lives through their yoga practice.  She teaches Kundalini Yoga and Yoga Nidra in studios throughout the valley and also hosts Gong Bath Meditations.

Crystal Maylone applies the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine by the use of acupuncture, nutrition and personal guidance to help people live better lives by relieving pain, increasing energy, reducing stress and balancing hormones. Crystal is an Arizona State licensed acupuncture practitioner. She is a NCCAOM Certified Practitioner, which is a significant professional achievement. A certified NCCAOM Diplomat must abide by the NCCAOM® Code of Ethics. This certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safety and competency of the acupuncture practice as defined by the Acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. She holds a Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture in Phoenix, AZ. Crystal’s interest in the healing arts began in 2004 when she started her studies in massage therapy at Phoenix College. She has retained her massage license for 9 years specializing in relaxation and deep tissue. She continues to expand her knowledge by taking yearly Continuing Education classes in order to provide more effective care for her patients. Deborah Weir

PROFESSIONAL LICENSED THERAPIST

Deborah works with individuals and couples who want to actively create the life and relationships they desire. When clients identify the blocks keeping them stuck, they are free to explore and experiment with more creative and effective life
choices. Group counseling is especially helpful increasing self-awareness, experiencing validation and building community.
Deborah has special interests and training in Gestalt body-centered therapy, couple's therapy and group processes. Since being introduced to mindfulness In 2001, Deborah has developed a personal meditation practice. Deborah weaves these various trainings, interests and personal practices into a collaborative solution-focused approach to working with clients in her private
counseling practice.

Ingrid Katal

In 2002, Ingrid Katal wrote her first book. Choosing a title was not only exhilarating, but also challenging. Ingrid wanted to keep it short and to the point, yet have a title that was self-explanatory. Hence, "What is your HONOR CODE?" was born. From that title, came the world of the HONOR CODE. Through out the years, many insights, tools and inspirations were created from Ingrid's personally challenging experiences and those of her clients.
The basis of the company was, and still is, that it's time to put ourselves FIRST to heal emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually and to have the ability to be you and to understand what that entails: to claim back all your power, release all expectations, release all attachments to the outcome and eliminate all pillars that we tend to lean on for support and survival.
Those concepts never changed. What did change was the core essence of what we do, how we do it and what the results signify. It was only fitting that after many years these powerhouse concepts were life changing and took on a life of their own. They have become a huge beast that needs to reform image and recognition.
Ingrid's work has helped many people restore their lives to a level of peace, balance, truth, understanding, knowledge and a strong connection to self. Jaclyn Lindsey

Jaclyn found Yoga 13 years ago and was amazed at the ways it impacted her mind and body. Having dealt with chronic illness and pain for the greater part of her life, she found relief and restoration within her Yoga practice. Inspired to share this gift with others she started her Yoga Teacher Training at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and became a RYT-200 hour instructor. With a "moving- meditation" focus in each of her classes, she hopes to bring peace of mind and gentle movement to each practitioner.
Always the perpetual student, Jaclyn enrolled in her 800 hour Yoga Therapy program earlier this year in the hopes of deepening her own Yoga practice and understanding. She is also a certified Yoga Nidra instructor and Reiki Master; she finds true JOY in sharing these gifts!

Jamie Sigmon

Jamie believes strongly that health is not just physical; our mind and soul require just as much love and attention as the body. She found her passion for fitness several years ago and loved how great her body felt, but found that it took the addition of a regular yoga practice to feel truly well and at peace. In 2016 Jamie took on the role of coach for group fitness classes, and began on her journey to become a yoga teacher at The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. Fueled by a desire to help others on their journey to holistic wellness, she has since gone on to become an RYT-500, with specialties in Yin, Prenatal, Yoga Nidra, and yoga for PTSD. In addition to teaching Jamie is a Reiki Master, holistic nutrition specialist, and jewelry maker.

John Parker

MASSAGE THERAPIST, ENERGY HEALER

John L. Parker has been a licensed Massage Therapist in Arizona since 2002, specializing in many different modalities, including Therapeutic, Reflexology, Sports, Cranial Sacral & TMJ release. He has developed the modality of Transformative Energy Alignment (T.E.A.), which focuses on releasing unwanted negative energy from the body. He has been practicing Yoga since 1999 and is a Certified Yoga Instructor. He also has his Chiropractor Assistant Certification. Karen is a Certified Nutritionist through the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists (AASDN), an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach and a Certified Brain Fitness Facilitator through the American Senior Fitness Association of America.
Karen has been involved in the Health and Fitness industry for over 25 years, and has been instrumental in improving the quality of life and health for hundreds of clients through proper nutrition, exercise and behavior modification. She uses a holistic approach to health, traditional protocols and health assessments to assist her clients in achieving the best results possible. Karen works with a variety of dietary issues including weight loss, weight gain, specialty diets, e.g. pre-diabetes, gluten-free eating, vegetarianism, Blood Type diets, detox programs and seasonal eating. Karen believes nutrition is at the core of long-term health and fitness and is passionate about helping her clients achieve their goals.

Larah Pawlowski

"After being introduced to yoga in 1996 by a fellow dancer, Larah fell in love with the stillness that yoga provided. She utilized her practice to heal her body after injury and to gain a greater understanding of herself. The love affair continued into Yoga Teacher Training from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ. Larah graduated in 2017 with her 200 hour level certification. She has been inspired to share her teachings with others with the desire for each and every student to find acceptance, love, and peace while on their own journeys.
Larah will be continuing her education this year to achieve the 500 hour level in teacher training with certifications in Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Nidra."

Piperlyne Tomczyk

HYPNOTHERAPIST

In 2004, after almost 20 years in the airline industry, Piperlyne understood that she craved to be of service in a new and different way. She followed her interest in self inquiry, philosophical understanding, energy and her lifelong practice of meditation and left her career to become a student again, studying life coaching and hypnotherapy. She became a teacher in 2005 and in 2014 began her journey in formal yoga study. Anytime Piperlyne sits down with a client she has only one intention; to support them in finding the effortless, limitless ability to love their life. Anything can be addressed in a hypnotherapy session and change can happen at any time. When you make an appointment with Piperlyne she will create a safe and comfortable space for you to communicate with your higher self for wisdom and healing. Once an intention is chosen for the session, Piperlyne is intuitively guided to set the perfect state to support your growth. She sees each session as an opportunity for you to expand your insight into your life and to support you in making the changes you desire.

Renee Lamphear

YOGA TEACHER, REIKI

Renee’ took her first yoga class over 10 years ago and has been practicing yoga ever since. She began yoga as part of her fitness routine, but quickly realized there were many more benefits gained through practicing yoga than just having a strong body. Yoga has helped Renee’ reduce stress in her daily life, to live more mindfully, and to feel comfortable with who she is as a person.

Renee' experienced so many benefits through yoga that she wanted to share her passion with others. She completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training through Urban Yoga in Phoenix, AZ and received additional training at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Tempe, AZ to teach yoga for post traumatic stress (PTS).

Renee’ feels very grateful to have the opportunity to change people’s lives through yoga. She currently teaches yoga at a drug and alcohol recovery center where she is able to assist in the recovery process by helping to balance the body, mind and spirit of her students. Additionally, Renee’ teaches a variety of yoga classes to students of all levels at studios in the Tempe and Phoenix areas. She enjoys assisting her students as they progress in their yoga practice and, more importantly, to see them leave her classes feeling refreshed and balanced.

Sharon Wong

HYPNOTHERAPIST

After hurricane Iniki in Kauai, Hawaii where she experienced Divine Intervention and then an intimate connection with the Angels, Sharon Wong began working with holistic energy healing modalities. She is passionate about inspiring her clients to unleash their innate creativity and to live in alignment with their authentic self. She empowers her clients to expand their awareness, follow their bliss, reach their goals and live their dream.

Sharon is an empathic, heart-centered holistic life coach, spiritual teacher and energy medicine practitioner. She helps clients improve self-care and self-love through a combination of coaching, nutrition, hypnotherapy and energy medicine. Sharon received her certifications from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ.
